The 2014 Lyons Township High School girls’ swimming/diving team won the Gold Scholar Team Award from the National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association for earning the highest cumulative grade point average of 3.82 on a 4.0 scale, ranking them 1st in Illinois and 25th in the nation for schools that submitted applications.
Congratulations to the girls who were part of last year’s team. Coach Kurt Johns says, “You were able to manage demanding practice and meet schedules with rigorous class loads. Way to go girls, you should be proud of yourselves.”
