A boy taking the video repeatedly insults the girl as she is attacked.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – A 37-second video documents the attack on a student last week at Lyons Township High School's South Campus. In the footage, a boy can be heard repeatedly insulting the targeted girl.
Patch is not publishing the video because it would reveal the identities of the underage participants.
A 16-year-old girl from La Grange has been arrested on a charge of misdemeanor battery, Western Springs police said. And a 14-year-old boy from Countryside, presumably the person who took the video, faces a disorderly conduct charge.

When the 14-year-old girl reached the doorway, the 16-year-old girl rushed over and struck her in the head several times. Then the 16-year-old pulled her across the hallway, causing the 14-year-old girl to fall to the ground. The 16-year-old continued to strike the girl and pull her hair.
The 14-year-old boy holding the camera spoke throughout the video, calling the targeted girl a racist and referring to her by various expletives.
"She looks stupid with her f------ hair on the floor," the boy said.
Meanwhile, the 16-year-old called the 14-year-old girl a "b----."
"What was that, b----?" the 16-year-old said.
In a quiet voice, another girl tried to stop the attack, referring to the 16-year-old by her first name.
In the final seconds, the 14-year-old girl said, "Get the f--- off me, b----."
The 16-year-old gave the 14-year-old a final push and let her go.
The 14-year-old walked away and fixed her hair. The video then ended.
Several students witnessed the incident. No adults could be seen in the video.
In a news release Monday, the police department's description of the attack reflected what happened in the video. Police said the 16-year-old's actions were intentional and without legal justification.
The 14-year-old boy was charged because he recorded the attack on the girl and then "unreasonably" disseminated the footage, causing alarm and disturbance to the public, police said.
Police said the investigation continues, even though the two youths have been charged.
