LTHS to host annual Freshman Experience Day

Wednesday, August 12th at South Campus

Lyons Township High School plans to welcome the class of 2019 before the first official day of the 2015-2016 school year. Incoming freshman will gather for Freshman Experience Day at South Campus on Wednesday, August 12, to become familiar with South Campus, faculty and staff, and students.

The freshmen will have South Campus all to themselves. They will be divided into small groups all led by upper classman and supervised by an adult staff member. The small groups will discuss LT traditions, along with what freshmen should expect the next four years of being an LT lion. Presentations from administrators are also scheduled, as well as team building activities, tours of South Campus and a complimentary lunch in the main courtyard.

Freshman Experience Day is a great way for the incoming freshmen to get comfortable with a new school and with the idea of being a high school student at LT. This day is an LT tradition that makes the transition from middle school to high school a little bit easier.
