LTHS to host Future Freshman Night
Eighth grade students and parents get an opportunity to visit South Campus and receive information about academics and activities at LT.
Lyons Township High School’s South Campus will roll out its red carpet for eighth grade students and their parents Thursday, December 4, 7p.m. LTHS will host Future Freshman Night to provide incoming Lions and their parents with information about the academic programs and student activities available at LTHS.
Academic division chairs, counselors and school administrators will share information and be on hand to answer questions. The evening will include a presentation in gyms 1 & 2 from Superintendent Dr. Tim Kilrea and Principal Dr. Brian Waterman with a welcome and an overview of the expectations LT has for incoming students. The evening will also include a registration timeline and LT’s 4-year planning process, along with a presentation on how to utilize placement tests and results.
Students and parents will have an opportunity to explore the South Campus facilities and meet and hear from representatives from each of the academic and student services divisions. Information about LT’s Summer School Program, the LTHS Boosters’ Club and the Parent-Teacher Council are also slated on the evening agenda.
