LTHS Poms compete at state competitions
The varsity squad earned 1st place at IDTA in the Lyrical category and achieved the highest overall score among 3A Division schools.
For the first time in Lyons Township High School history, the varsity poms squad qualified for both the IHSA Competitive Dance State Final and the Illinois Drill Team Association (IDTA) State competition.
While this was the first venture for the varsity team, it was the second year for the junior varsity squad.
At the recent IDTA competition, the junior varsity team took 3rd place in Lyrical and 3rd place in the Pom Dance category. The varsity squad earned 1st place in the Lyrical category and achieved the highest overall score among 3A Division schools.
