LT's National Honors Society members qualify for President's Volunteer Service Award

Thirteen LT seniors were recognized for their service and received the Presidential Volunteer Service Award.

Thirteen members of Lyons Township High School’s chapter of National Honors Society have demonstrated a sustained commitment to volunteer service and qualified for the Presidential Service Award. Established in 2003, the award was created by President George W. Bush to give recognition to those who meet requirements for volunteer service, measured by the number of service hours performed over 12 months.

In total, NHS members volunteered 6,350 hours of service this year, offering their service to the school, boosters, and community members. Thirteen LT seniors were recognized for their service and received the Presidential Volunteer Service Award.
