Welch Beats Hoskins By 15 Votes in 7th House
The Hillside resident eked out a victory by the absolute smallest of margins over the Forest Park
With a final two precincts finally reporting after midnight on Wednesday, (D-Hillside) has emerged at the victor over (D-Forest Park) by a mere 15 votes in the race to secure the Democratic nomination for the Illinois House 7th District.
If the razor-thin margin holds up to any challenges, it will essentially put Welch in office, as no Republican challengers have filed for the general election in the House 7th in November.
Welch is currently serving as Proviso D209 Board President. The race has no incumbent.
