Mazzochi to Host Transportation Town Halls in Westmont & Elmhurst

Representative Deanne Mazzochi to Host Transportation Town Halls in Westmont and Elmhurst

Westmont/Elmhurst… Thousands of residents from the 47th District rely on the Metra BNSF line, Union Pacific lines, PACE bus service and other transportation sources to get to and from work every day. In response to service reliability concerns expressed by many commuters, State Representative Deanne Mazzochi (R-Elmhurst) is assembling a panel of experts for two transportation town hall meetings during the month of October.

Transportation town hall meetings are scheduled for 6:00pm until 7:30pm on the following dates:

October 15, 2019 October 17, 2019

“Our district is blessed with both roads and rail, but Chicago commuters particularly value reliability,” Mazzochi noted. “Track delays are particularly frustrating. Our office has fielded many calls from residents who want to see improvement and are tired of bureaucratic runaround. Bringing together representatives from Metra, Union Pacific, BNSF and PACE will keep our residents better informed and help get their questions answered.”

Local government officials also will attend to provide supplemental information as needed.

Mazzochi emphasized that, “As your Representative, it’s my job to take residents’ priorities to Springfield and implement them where possible. Illinois passed a multi-billion dollar capital bill for infrastructure improvements, and allocated over a billion to public transportation. Our residents deserve good value for those dollars, and I will do everything I can to ensure Illinois satisfies your priorities.”

RSVPs are not required, but are encouraged. To RSVP, or for additional information, please contact Rep. Mazzochi’s office at (630) 852-8633.
