The McCook Athletic & Exposition (The MAX) recently completed a major renovation, the most significant changes to the facility since it opened in 2006. The renovation shows the MAX’s commitment to maintaining a premier destination for sports and special events.
In an effort to provide guests with an elevated experience we installed state of the art turf, fresh coats of paint, new flooring, and enhanced complimentary high speed internet.
“Every year thousands of athletes call The MAX their home and every year we evaluate what we can do to improve upon their experience. This year, with the support of McCook’s Mayor Tobolski and the Village Board of Trustees, we introduced facility upgrades while still offering the same great value they are accustomed to,” said Ross Bruni, General Manager of the MAX.

The MAX is a 150,000 square foot multi-purpose facility designed to combine the benefits of a full-sized outdoor field with the shelter of a 40-foot high clear-span roof-the first of its kind in Chicago. With such size, comes versatility. The MAX incorporates 80,000 square feet of turf alongside 25,000 square feet of hard court space. The court space is broken down into two full-sized main basketball courts, a full-sized private wood court gymnasium. The facility also houses a baseball/softball academy, three locker rooms and a 6,000 square foot restaurant.
