Men Charged In Western Springs House Burglary: Police
The break-in occurred in late February in a local neighborhood, authorities said.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Two Chicago men were arrested in a burglary that occurred earlier this year in a Western Springs neighborhood, police said.
The men were identified as Giancarlo Vargas-Olaya, 26, and Cesar G. Lugo-Salazar, 29, and were charged April 21 with residential burglary, police said.
They are accused of breaking into a house Feb. 29 in the 1300 block of Chestnut Street.

Also in Western Springs, someone forged an $8,000 check in the name of an elderly woman in the 5400 block of Franklin Avenue and cashed it April 19, police said. The theft was reported by the woman's daughter, who is her caretaker.
