Mexican Eatery Opens In Western Springs

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – A Mexican restaurant held its grand opening Tuesday in Western Springs.

Taco Maya is in the Garden Market shopping center at 4700 Gilbert Ave., which includes Mariano's grocery store.

The restaurant fully renovated its space, according to the village.

The Western Springs location is the fast-casual chain's 12th. Its other sites are in Chicago, Downers Grove, Schaumburg, Arlington Heights, Bloomingdale, Rosemont and Niles, according to its website.

Its food is described as "authentic Mexican meets global fusion."

The chain offers a variety of tacos, tortas, burritos and enchiladas, as well as fusion items such as Nashville Hot Chicken tacos, she said.
