Tonight, the Naperville Park District’s Board of Commissioners voted to voluntarily dismiss the lawsuit against Governor JB Pritzker; the suit was initiated last month by the Park District to seek relief from the constraints of the Executive Order relative to COVID-19.

Given the fact that the State of Illinois made changes in Phases 3 and 4 of the Restore Illinois Plan concerning the use of Park District facilities and programs, thereby providing greater flexibility in its operations, the majority of the board concluded that incurring the additional expense of the litigation was not warranted.
