Nazareth’s Student Council led the way in planning an awesome Homecoming Week around the theme “Friday Night Lights: Naz Forever.” Decorated hallways, country-western dress-down day and Name-That-“Country Song” Tune all got students in the right spirit.

The week culminated in an exciting Pep Rally, Naz’s 40th annual WALK and, of course, the Homecoming game and dance. Congratulations to the Varsity Football team, who continued their undefeated streak with a very exciting 24-21 victory over Joliet Catholic Academy in front of a packed house at Valenta Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

At the conclusion of the Pep Rally and WALK students returned to campus for NazFest with food, live music (including John Gurney ’06) and a Faculty vs. Student Softball game and a Bags Tournament.

The Homecoming Dance was a wonderful time for the hundreds of students in attendance. They split their time between the Rooney Student Center, where they could dance the night away, and the Dining Hall, where they enjoyed refreshments and participated in a Bags Tournament and Nazareth’s first-ever Ping-Pong Homecoming Tournament, dominated by international students Huangcun “Hudson” Hu ‘17 and Cici Huang ‘15.
