Nazareth Academy Hosts Spring Production of Mary Poppins

Nazareth Academy is proud to present Mary Poppins, a high-flying musical based on the stories of P.L. Travers and the Walt Disney film. Performances are: Thursday – Saturday, April 23-25 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 26 at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.

This family friendly show tells the story of a very proper English family and their “practically perfect” nanny, Mary Poppins. Well known music from the Disney movie combined with new songs have brought Mary Poppins to a new generation of fans. Come watch Mary fly, while enjoying a “Spoonful of Sugar” and the rousing dance number, “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.”

The cast of Mary Poppins includes:

Mary Poppins -- Jesse Bonaguro (Clarendon Hills) and Camille Theriault (Oak Brook)
Bert -- Johnny Bareis (La Grange Park) and Evan Sellas (Palos Heights)
George Banks -- Kyle Norbut (La Grange)
Winifred Banks -- Bridget Adams-King (Western Springs) and Katie Uphues (Berwyn)

All other roles and ensemble parts are played by:

The roles of Jane and Michael Banks are being shared by local residents: Mary Calabria, Margaret King, Jon Ramicone and Jack Sifferman.

Both of Sifferman’s parents, Tim and Kathleen Sifferman of Clarendon Hills, are Nazareth Academy alumni, and Tim was also involved in Naz Drama with the same director his son now works with, Kim White.
