New Year's 2019: What's Open, Closed In Western Springs
Here's what will be closed on New Year's Day in Western Springs.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — It's time to ring in the New Year in Western Springs, but just like last week, some area offices and businesses will be closed for New Year's Day and New Year's Eve. Schools are still on winter break and many will have the day off work to celebrate 2019.
The village said that police have suspended enforcement of the overnight parking ordinance from 3 a.m. Dec. 31 to 6 a.m. Jan. 2 to accommodate out of town guests. During this time, cars will be allowed to park on village streets overnight, unless it snows.
Another thing to remember for New Year's is the delay of refuse services. Tuesday refuse pick-up service will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 2, and Friday refuse pick-up service will take place on Saturday, Jan. 5.
