No Arrests In Western Springs For 2 Weeks: Police

Last summer, the village went a month without anyone arrested, according to its weekly reports.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Few arrests are made in Western Springs, compared to its neighbors such as Hinsdale and Darien.

Last summer, the village went a month without an arrest, according to its weekly blotters to the media. On Tuesday, the village reported for a second week that it had made no arrests.

In its blotter, the police department reported that two incidents of crime occurred in the last week in the village of more than 13,000:

  • A resident in the 5200 block of Woodland Avenue told police Thursday that someone had fraudulently printed and cashed two checks from her checking account.
  • A resident in the 4200 block of Grand Avenue told police last Wednesday about a threatening call he received at his office.
