Official Leaving In Western Springs

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – The longtime finance director in Western Springs is leaving Village Hall, likely to be replaced by her second in command.

Grace Turi has been the village's finance director since 1993, according to her LinkedIn page. Before that, she was the assistant finance director in Oak Park for nearly a decade.

On Monday, the Village Board is set to be asked to approve Assistant Finance Director John Mastandona for the top job. That is on the recommendation of Village Manager Ellen Baer.

According to his LinkedIn page, Mastandona has been the assistant director for three years. He worked for the village of Bloomingdale's finance department for five years before that.

If approved, he would assume the director's position Aug. 29.
