'One Woman Sex And The City' Presented At Theatre Of Western Springs
The "One Woman Sex and the City" parody show will play for one night only at 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — Western Springs native and Lyons Township High School grad Kerry Ipema will perform her “One Woman Sex and the City” parody show for one night only at 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at The Theatre of Western Springs, according to a release from the theatre.
This show is part of the TWS Performance series, and is a fundraiser for TWS where the public is invited. However, due to the mature nature of this performance, children under 17 should not attend, the theatre said.
This loving tribute and send-up takes audiences through a laughter-infused version of all six seasons of the beloved show, according to a release. TJ Dawe – (Director and co-creator of One Man Star Wars Trilogy, One Man Lord of the Rings and PostSecret: The Show) has comedic whirling dervish Kerry Ipema (PostSecret: The Show) bringing all the favorite characters to life as they brunch, banter, argue, support each other and swoon over men and Manolos.

According to the release, Ipema is an actor, improvisor, producer and writer. It was while touring Post Secret: the Show, that TJ and Kerry discovered their mutual love for all things Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha. Back home in New York City, Ipema performs weekly in the acclaimed show Accomplice; she’s the creator of Lady Bits, a semiannual fundraiser for Planned Parenthood; and she can be seen regularly at the People's Improv Theater and in the immersive theater of the Woodshed Collective. Ipema is a proud graduate of Indiana University.
“This will be an amazing and funny night out for women ready to let loose and have a blast,” TWS Executive Artistic Director Eddie Sugarman said in a release. “Men can come too, if they dare.”
