Outage Affects Western Springs Neighborhood

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – A storm-caused power outage on Tuesday was affecting the Field Park neighborhood in northern Western Springs, ComEd reported.

According to the utility, the outage was affecting 89 customers in the neighborhood as of 11:15 a.m. The first report in the area was shortly before 1 a.m.

ComEd expects power to be restored by 1 p.m.

Heavy rains are forecast for Tuesday afternoon.

According to the village, many of its storm drains are clogged with debris from the previous storms. The village is asking residents to clear the drains in their areas to prevent street flooding during the coming storms.
