Come see the finalists in the Salt Creek Photography Competition. Photos on display were judged at a previous club meeting. Camera Club meeting tonight in the Education Room at 7:30pm, guests are welcome.
Wednesday, 10/1: Oktoberfest with Eddie Korosa Band, Dole Hall 7:15pm
Join the Oktoberfest party with Eddie Korosa, Jr. and his Boys from Illinois. Eddie celebrates over 47 years of Polka entertainment throughout the world, starting as a child at his parents’ “Baby Doll Polka Club” in Chicago. Enjoy accordion and trumpet, oom-pa-pa music, and get ready to dance.

Friday, 10/3: Cruise to Poland, Dole Hall 3:00pm
Our cruise around the world destination this month is to Poland. Join the fun in Dole Hall with a travelogue. Share any memorabilia you may have and bring your passport for your stamp. Enjoy a sweet treat with a taste of Poland.
Monday, 10/6: Lyric Opera of Chicago Lecture, Skyline Lounge 3:00pm
This month’s lecture will be on “Don Giovanni” by Mozart. Come and enjoy a lecture direct from the Lyric Opera of Chicago education department. Volunteer lecturer Michael Fish will discuss the history of the show and play select pieces of the opera. The lecture precedes the performance at the Lyric Opera of Chicago this week. Our continuing education subject, “The 30 Greatest Orchestral Works” continues with lectures of all the world’s most renowned composers. Both visual/audio DVD program will include a handout with information to follow along with each lecture.

Plymouth Place’s annual Halloween party kicks off with a costume parade for both residents and staff at 2pm, followed by Magician Paul Lee. The Magic & Illusions of Paul Lee will leave you amazed, mesmerized and definitely making you believe in magic.This annual event will include the pumpkin carving contest, treats and maybe a few tricks.
