Pride Flag Stolen In Western Springs Neighborhood: Cops

In the last couple of weeks, the only other reported crimes were the arrests of two drivers.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – A Pride flag and flagpole were stolen from the outside of a house on Jan. 27 in the 4000 block of Hampton Avenue, Western Springs police said.

The theft was reported three days later. The flag was valued at $100.

The only other item in Western Springs' weekly police blotter was the arrest of a 26-year-old St. Louis woman on charges of driving an uninsured car and driving with an expired registration. She was stopped about 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ogden and Howard avenues, police said.

The previous week, the only item on the blotter was the arrest of a 44-year-old Chicago man on charges of driving with a suspended driver's license. He was stopped shortly before 1 p.m. Jan. 24 at Ogden Avenue and Wolf Road, police said.
