Rash Of Car Break-Ins In Western Springs: Cops

All the cars were unlocked, police said. The burglaries occurred on a number of streets.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – A series of car burglaries happened early Tuesday morning in Western Springs, police said.

They occurred between 3:30 a.m. and 4 a.m. in the 4100 block of Grove Avenue, 1400 block of Sunset Terrace, 4000 block of Forest Avenue and 4300 block of Western Avenue, police said.

Also, a car was reported stolen between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. Wednesday in the 3900 block of Forest Avenue.

In all the crimes, suspects entered through unlocked doors and ransacked cars, taking items of value, police said.

Police urged residents to lock their car doors and keep windows closed, even during quick errands.
