Summer is (unofficially) here and we're thrilled to invite your children to two fantastic programs this summer: Music and Drama Camp and Vacation Bible School. Check out the details of these two programs and register now to ensure a space!
Music and Drama Camp (MAD Camp)
Music and Drama Camp will run June 23-27 from 2-5pm at the Presbyterian Church of Western Springs. During the week, our participants will prepare the musical "Malice in the Palace." This story of Esther has all the ingredients of a great Hollywood thriller---a beautiful and spirited heroine, a dark-hearted villain, a twisting plot full of danger and intrigue and a cliffhanger at the climax.
MAD Camp is open to children grades 2-8. This is a great opportunity for children who enjoy singing and performing to enrich their summer experiences. Not sure if you are an actor? Give MAD Camp a try! Every year, we have a great group of kids participating, from PCWS and around the community, and you are welcome to join us. The kids rehearse the play, learn songs and choreography, assist with costumes and set design, and have fun together.
We'll perform "Malice in the Palace" during Sunday Worship on June 29.
Cost for MAD Camp is $25 per child or $35 per family, to defray the cost of materials. Next up: Vacation Bible School!
We're hosting Vacation Bible School July 14-18 from 9am-12 noon. VBS is open to children age 4 by September 2014 through children who will be in 6th grade in the Fall of 2014. The cost is $25 per child, with the option of a $7 music CD.
