Register for Parent Community Network's 20th Annual Parent University, February 4, 2017

Parent Community Network's 20th Annual Parent University takes place on Saturday, February 4th, at Lyons Township High School - South Campus

Parent Community Network is pleased to announce its 20th Annual Parent University, scheduled for Saturday, February 4, 2017, from 8 a.m. to 12:35 p.m., at Lyons Township High School – South Campus, 4900 S. Willow Springs Road, Western Springs, Illinois. Registration fee is $20 per person until February 1, 2017, and $25 after February 1st and at the door. Childcare is available, must pre-register. Online registration is available at www.parentcommunitynetwork.com.

Cathy Cassani Adams, LCSW, CPC and Todd Adams, CLC, hosts of the podcast Zen Parenting Radio, will provide this year’s keynote, “Zen Parenting: Practicing Mindfulness, Self-Awareness, and Empathy With Your Kids.”

Two breakout sessions will follow the keynote, for which attendees can choose two workshops from among 16 workshop topics on parenting teens, tweens, and toddlers. Among the topic choices this year: Resilience and the Value of Taking Healthy Risks; The 8 Biggest Parenting Traps; Emotional Intelligence; The Importance of Parents in the Prevention, Recognition, and Treatment of Depression and Anxiety in Their Adolescents; Happy Marriage, Happy Kids: Stress in Parenting and Impact on Relationships.
