Riverside Construction Starts Sept 22. at 1st Avenue and Forest Avenue

The following information is from a Riverside news release.

Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) notified Riverside Police that the construction scheduled to begin October 6 has been pushed up and will start Monday, September 22.

IDOT will begin by moving the overhead traffic signals, and early Tuesday morning construction will ramp up with lane closures.

Alliance Construction, the project manager, has promised to work with the Police Department and schools to ensure children and other pedestrians have a safe walk through construction areas.

Be prepared for walkway pattern changes as crosswalks may close at various times throughout construction.
