The estimated project costs increased a lot over the last few months.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Western Springs plans three major road resurfacing projects this year.
On Monday, the Village Board reviewed the bids for the work. The low bidder was Marengo-based Schroeder Asphalt Services, coming in at $999,000.

The projects also include pavement rehabilitation at the public works yard and surface patching on rough spots around town.
At the board's meeting, Trustee James Tyrrell said Hillgrove is obviously more crowded than the other streets. He asked whether it would be done before the local pool opens.
Village Engineer Jeff Koza said it was unlikely.
