On Wednesday, May 9, members and guests of the Western Springs Music Club enjoyed a delicious lunch and wonderful musical finale of its 97th year held at the beautiful Hinsdale Golf Course. The program included:
Paul Schoenfield’s Café Music by Kate Carter – violin; Victor Sotelo – cello; and Louise Chan – piano.
Janet Mensen Reynolds – Mezzo Soprano with guest pianist Mary Ann Sadilek performed: Love by Ned Rorem; Bright is the Ring of Words, Ralph Vaughan Williams; Faites-lui mes avexu from Faust, Charles Gounod; La serenata francese, Ruggero Leoncavallo; and Alto’s Lament by Zina Goldrich.

The program ended with the audience welcoming spring by singing familiar pop tunes: Tip Toe Thru the Tulips with Me; April Showers; April in Paris; and, Singin’ In the Rain.
Following the music program President Sophia Foley honored the 2017-18 officers and then officers for the coming year were installed.
