Patch Poll: How Should Indian Head Park Increase Security After Killing?
Residents are wondering what measures can be taken to increase security in the village following the murder of Kelli O'Laughlin.

Indian Head residents who attended last week's Village Board meeting—the board's first meeting since the tragic murder of Kelli O'Laughlin—expressed concerns about security in the village in the wake of her killing.
One resident suggested in a published report that the board propose a concealed weapon handgun permit for Indian Head Park only in order to help ease residents' concerns about security.
Other measures discussed include increased police patrols, an e-mail based neighborhood watch program, a community watch program, increased street lighting, and "robocalls"—where a voice operated system calls residents' phones automatically to inform them of something that might be occurring in the neighborhood.
