Well, it is almost officially summer, although today feels like it is already here!!
When was the last time you checked on the seniors in your life – neighbors – family. It is always good to check in on them periodically to be sure they are safe and not in any need. We sometimes think that the only time a senior is isolated is in the winter. But if a senior is having some mobility issues – the weather outside may not really matter.
Things to check on might be: is the lawn and yard being kept up; is the newspaper being brought in each day; if you stop by try and step into the home to be sure it feels well air-conditioned. Often times a senior may want to visit with you – a quick conversation will surely brighten their day and YOURS!!

Sometimes – even with the best intentions and planning – staying at home for a senior may not be the best idea. If you or they need some assistance in identifying senior housing options – from Independent Living to Assisted Living - Assisted Transition is a great option. We are local – we are FREE – and we truly look out for the best interests of the families we work with.
Take care and have a great summer!!
