Sign Up Open for Western Springs Lacrosse Winter House League

First through eighth graders are welcome to sign up for the Western Springs Lacrosse Winter House League, which will begin Nov. 2.

The league accepts boys and girls, both beginners and experienced lacrosse players, according to the Western Springs Recreation website.

Teams focus on offense, defense and strategic skills. “Emphasis in scrimmages will be on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship,” according to the site.

Players are required to have a lacrosse stick, mouthpiece, lacrosse or hockey helmet with face guard, shoulder pads, elbow pads, lacrosse gloves, cup and soccer/football cleats.

The league runs Sundays at Westmont Yard, Nov. 2 to Dec. 14 (No class Nov. 30) from 3:30 to 5 pm.
