'Super Cute' Event Planned In Western Springs
Downtown will turn into a catwalk with models walking to the Tower Green.
WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Downtown Western Springs will turn into a temporary catwalk on July 30, with models showing off homecoming dresses.
It is a fashion show organized by Jolie, A Dress Boutique, 824 Hillgrove Ave.
"The models will get ready in the store, do a loop, walk back to the store," owner Amanda Sutter told the Village Board this week. "Quick, easy, pretty."

Village officials described the event as "super cute" and "an amazing idea."
The models, who are local high school students, will walk to the neighboring Tower Green park.

About 125 people are expected to attend. A DJ is planned.
The boutique is seeking a temporary use permit from the village.
The event is from 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.
