Supporting Your Kids through a Loved One's Cancer

Wednesday, July 22, 7 PM at Thomas Ford Library

When a loved one has cancer, family matters.Talking to kids about cancer can bring up many questions for adults. Join us for a conversation about ways to talk to children about a loved one who has cancer, treatments, possible concerns, common developmental responses, and ideas for supporting children in expressing their emotions surrounding cancer. This talk is appropriate for parents, grandparents, and other adult caregivers who have children in their lives 0-18 impacted by a loved one’s cancer. Presented by Chelsea Cress, M.S., CCLS, Oncology Child Life Specialist at Wellness House.
