Suspicious Man Offered Candy to Boy near Maple and Blackstone Avenues in La Grange
The man was driving an older-model, navy blue four-door sedan.
La Grange Police are looking for a suspicious man who approached a 12-year-old boy Sept. 29.
The man was driving an older-model, navy blue four-door sedan, and he pulled alongside to the boy around 3:30 p.m. Monday near Maple and Blackstone Avenues, according to a La Grange Police Department news release.
The boy was riding his bike home from school, and he ignored the suspicious man’s offer of candy and pop and continued home. The man drove away eastbound on Maple Avenue.
Police weren’t immediately notified, and they didn’t find the man when they searched the area. They are still looking for him, described as a white man with a black mustache and a beard, about 50 years old and wearing a hat, according to the news release.
