The Growing Season

Spring is a great time to appreciate how much your students have learned in the past year!

Spring is the time when we all get to enjoy being outside after a looooong winter. We enjoy outdoor activities, soak up a little sun, and get to work on growing those long dormant gardens.

Spring is also the time that many teachers--including those of us at the Children's Theatre of Western Springs--take a moment to think about how our students have grown since the start of the year. Shy kids have become more outgoing. Students are taking on leadership roles they wouldn't have even considered a few months ago. They're building on all of the knowledge they've gained throughout the year, and it's a wonderful feeling to know that students are using the skills we've taught them.

So while you're out there enjoying the nice weather and all of the amazing flowers that are in bloom, take a moment to notice how your kids have grown, too. It's even better than a bumper crop of tulips!
