Theft, Damage, Bad Check: Western Springs Cops
The Western Springs Police Department made no arrests last week, according to its blotter.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Western Springs police released their latest blotter Monday. Here is information from the reports:
- Western Springs police reported no arrests in the last week. The department has made two arrests, both for driver's license issues, since the beginning of August.
- A man went to the front door of a house and caused damage to the door, including wood splintering and paint chipping. The incident happened Tuesday in the 400 block of Ellington Avenue.
- Someone fraudulently opened an AT&T account using the personal information of a resident in the 5000 block of Commonwealth Avenue. The crime was reported Thursday.
- A person paid for a gas grill with a check, which came back with insufficient funds, at a business in the 800 block of Burlington Avenue. The purchase was for $1,900. The crime was reported Thursday.
- A toilet in the women's restroom at Spring Rock Park on Central Avenue was reported damaged Friday.
- An iPhone valued at $800 was reported stolen Saturday in the 4900 block of Willow Springs Road. It was taken after the owner said she misplaced it.
