WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – A Burr Ridge developer plans a townhome complex in Western Springs, replacing an office building.

McNaughton Development is proposing eight townhome buildings, consisting of 29 units. They would be at 5600 Wolf Road, where an office building now sits.

The office complex is surrounded by single-family houses and townhomes.

According to the developer, the townhome unit prices would range from $800,000 to $850,000.

The property in question has been owned by Casey and Fran Gaik, who bought it in 1981, according to a village memo. The property was previously a religious school.

After buying it, the Gaiks requested the village rezone the property to a limited office district, from single-family residential. The village declined, so the Gaiks sued. The court decided in the Gaiks' favor, according to the memo.

On Tuesday, the village's Plan Commission is set to take up the proposal from McNaughton Development. The meeting is set for 7 p.m. at Village Hall.

McNaughton has developments throughout the suburbs, including Timber Trails in Western Springs. In 2021, Hinsdale gave McNaughton's proposal for the Heather Highlands development a thumbs down.
