Two LT debaters qualify for national competition
Students achieved high honors in the Illinois Congressional Debate Association's Tournament of Champions earlier this month.

Two Lyons Township High School senior members of the Congressional Debate Team, Anika Ranginani, of Burr Ridge, and Faith Medlock, of LaGrange Park, achieved high honors in the Illinois Congressional Debate Association’s Tournament of Champions earlier this month. After multiple preliminary rounds of debate, they were placed in the Finals Chamber with the top 22 students selected from the 30 schools competing. As a result of this hard-won achievement, both of the co-captains have received a bid to the National Tournament of Champions at University of Kentucky in April, a tournament generally recognized as the most prestigious debate tournament in the nation. Congratulations!
