Unlocked Car Burglarized In Western Springs: Cops
In another case, a resident told police that someone fraudulently deposited his tax refund check.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Western Springs police released their later blotter Monday. Here is information from the reports:
- A car was reported burglarized about 7 p.m. Tuesday in the 5000 block of Central Avenue. A laptop valued at $300 was stolen. It was inside a backpack.
- A resident in the 3900 block of Forest Avenue told police Tuesday that someone deposited his $847 tax refund check into an account that does not belong to the resident.
- Ruben Gallegos, 24, of Berwyn, was arrested about 11 a.m. Thursday at Ogden Avenue and Wolf on charges of driving with a suspended license, driving an uninsured car and possessing a small amount of marijuana. He was released on bond.
