Watch: 'Future Gentlemen' Ask You to Be Good, Do Good

Students in McClure Junior High's MC Avengers club share the best advice they've ever received.

The world needs more young men like these.

Students in the MC Avengers club at McClure Junior High created a video to share the best advice they’ve ever received in an effort to inspire other students to be good to one another.

They hold signs displaying wise words such as “Treat women the way you want to be treated. Equality is key,” and “Go above and beyond what is expected of you.”

The video says the advice is from Bulldogs to Bulldogs, but I think we can all agree the positive power of these messages resonates further than just McClure Junior High.

Club sponsor Ferdinand deGuia said the MC Avengers was created about three years ago to promote inclusion, school spirit and community activism.

“These gentlemen have done everything from helping to clean up the school, attending sporting events to cheer on our teams and creating PSA videos,” deGuia said. “We also do leadership skills, anti-bullying techniques and overall how to be a good citizen. In general, we hang out, enjoy each other’s company. As a group we play board games and hold movie nights to promote brotherhood, teamwork, and family.”

The MC Avenger motto is “Be good and do good,” and their goal is to create “future all-around gentlemen” who treat everyone with respect.

Upcoming projects for the MC Avengers include visiting senior citizens, helping their school with end of the year activities and working with the Lyons Township Relay for Life.
