KFC Near La Grange, Western Springs Not Coming Back; New Building Going Up

Another business is planned for the site, which is next to a shopping center.

WESTCHESTER, IL – The KFC restaurant at Wolf Road and 31st Street in Westchester is not coming back.

It closed last fall after 35 years. The building has since been demolished.

Now, a 3,000-square-foot Huntington Bank branch is being built on the site. It is expected to include three drive-thru lanes.

A Huntington branch is now in the neighboring shopping center, which includes Mariano's grocery store.

The shopping center and the old KFC are just north of the forest preserve that separates Western Springs and Westchester.

Another KFC is on Roosevelt Road in Westchester, but that location is farther away from Western Springs and La Grange than the other one was.
