Western Springs Cocktail Bar Closes After 2 Years
The owning couple also operated a coffee roastery, which they started in 2018.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – The Opry, a cocktail bar in Western Springs, quietly closed recently.
The Opry was at 4354 Johnson Ave., once the site of Pet Necessities. The bar opened in January 2024.
In a memo this week, the village government said The Opry notified officials that it would not keep its liquor license.

The owners, Western Springs residents Dan and Anne Schovain, also own Daydream Coffee, which they started in 2018.
Patch left a message for comment Friday through their Daydream email address.

When The Opry opened, Schovain said it would include the bar, a small café with a coffee roastery, a bottle shop and a music venue.
At the time, Schovain, who is from La Grange Park, told Patch that The Opry would feature a Nashville-inspired "listening room."
