Western Springs DUI Suspect Hits Pole: Cops
In another case, a trio stole merchandise from a local store, police said.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Western Springs police released their latest blotter Tuesday. Here is information from the reports:
DUI
- A 23-year-old man from Willow Springs was arrested shortly after midnight Sept. 19 in the 5700 block of Wolf Road on charges of DUI, improper lane usage and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He ran his car into a utility pole.

- Three people entered Walgreens, 4700 Gilbert Ave., filled a cart with items and left without paying. It occurred about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Marijuana at school
- A youth was found with a small amount of marijuana last week at Lyons Township High School's South Campus, 4900 Willow Springs Road. He was cited under a local ordinance.

- A 29-year-old man from Maywood was cited about 7:30 p.m. Sept. 20 at Ogden and Ellington avenues on charges of no valid driver's license, speeding and driving with no insurance.
- A 25-year-old man from Cicero was cited about 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Ogden and Grove avenues on charges of driving with a suspended license and disobeying a stop sign.
