Western Springs Electric Vehicle Station Planned

The project is set to start next week. A bike shelter is also planned.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — Weather permitting, Western Springs plans to start working Monday on an electric vehicle charging station at Grand and Burlington avenues, the village announced Thursday. The project consists of a dual port electrical vehicle charging station, brick pavers and a bike shelter, the village said.

No full road closures are planned at this time, but expect construction traffic and personnel in the area for the next two to three weeks, according to the village. The existing bike racks and multiple parking spaces will be unavailable for the duration of the project.
