Western Springs Gas Station May Sell Liquor

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Western Springs now prohibits convenience stores from selling liquor, but that may change.

The Shell gas station at 5500 Wolf Road is asking the village to change its code to let it have a liquor license.

According to village records, owner Ambalal Patel, the station's owner, said customers have inquired about the sale of liquor.

Two village committees have said they would be open to considering an application from a convenience store.

The Village Board is set to consider the issue Monday.
