Fire Causes Significant Damage To Western Springs Home
The fire was brought under control by using a hose line, but due to the extent of the smoke and heat the home sustained significant damage.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — A home in the 3900 block of Franklin Avenue was damaged by a fire on Tuesday, Nov. 13. The fire department said it received a call at 6:40 p.m. from the homeowner reporting a fire.
When firefighters arrived, they reported fire and moderate to heavy black smoke on the second floor of the home. The department said the alarm was then raised to a Full Still level which requests additional assistance from La Grange, Hinsdale, Tri-State, Clarendon Hills, Westmont, Oak Brook and La Grange Park.

smoke and heat the home sustained significant damage. The department said the home was ventilated and fire investigators are conducting an investigation to determine the origin and cause of the fire but it seems it was accidental in nature.
There were no reported civilian or firefighter injuries.
