Western Springs Hosts Recreation Classes to Help Kids Burn Off Energy
Game time, jr. basketball and cartoon drawing programs are available.

It’s Game Time— What is your favorite game? Kick the Can, Steal the Bacon, Capture the Flag, or Dodgeball? All these games and much more will be played with your 4-6 year old. This is a great class to burn off extra energy after being trapped indoors. This class will be held at the Western Springs Recreation Center Gym, Tuesdays 1-2:30 pm from Oct. 28th-Dec. 9th.
Jr. Basketball—This is the perfect class for your 5-8 year old who would like to expand their basketball skills. All the basics of the game will be covered. It is taught in a non-competitive environment with teamwork, good sportsmanship, and participation emphasized. Each class will end with a game. This class will be held at the Grand Avenue Gym in Western Springs on Saturdays 12:30-1:30 pm from Oct.25th – Dec 13th (No class Nov. 29th).

Cartoon Drawing Class—Learn to draw and have some fun. This program involves a Young Rembrandt’s step by step drawing method. Your child will learn how to draw silly characters, funny expressions, and sequences that tell jokes! This is a great outlet for your child to use their imagination and show their great sense of humor. All new lessons each session. This runs on Wednesdays 5-5:45 pm from Nov. 5th -Dec.17th (No class Nov. 26th).
