Western Springs Man Crashes Into Garage: Cops

In another case, a person's car was hit while parked on a local street, police said.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Western Springs police released their latest blotter Monday. Here is information from the reports:

  • Michael P. Sheppard, 61, of Western Springs, was cited about 8 p.m. Tuesday on charges of driving with a suspended license, failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving an uninsured vehicle. According to a police report, Sheppard was detained after crashing his car into a garage in the 700 block of 47th Street. He was released on bond.
  • A resident in the 4000 block of Forest Avenue told police Oct. 10 that her son's girlfriend's car was struck while parked on the street outside the family's house. The damage was to the driver's side front and rear doors.
  • A resident in the 200 block of Rugeley Road told police Wednesday that an unauthorized charge was made on his bank card at Stamps.com.
