Western Springs Man Flees Local Police: Cops

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – A Western Springs man was stopped for speeding over the weekend, but then proceeded to his house, local police said.

Geoffrey E. Zabinksi, 37, of the 4000 block of Harvey Avenue, was charged with fleeing or attempting to elude police. He was ticketed for speeding.

The incident happened about 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Zabinski was released on bond.

It was unclear how far away the traffic stop was away from Zabinski's house. Patch has filed a public records request.

Zabinski's arrest was only the fourth since early August by Western Springs police.
