Listening to an afternoon of classical music fills the soul. “Sounds of Spring,” Western Springs Music Club’s April program held at Grace Lutheran Church of LaGrange, delighted its audience with music from Sinding’s “Rustles of Spring” played by Alice Cummings; and, Ludwig von Beethoven’s “Trio for 2 oboes and English horn,” performed by The Amber Trio (Nancy Hagen, Tricia Wlazlo, and Christine Phillips). Soprano Karen Smith accompanied by guitarist Jason Deroche san music from a variety of composers dating back to the 17th century; and organist, Jared Stellmacher performed “Chorale No. 2 in B minor” by Cesar Fanck.
