The Western Springs Music Club’s 95th Anniversary Spring Luncheon took place on Wednesday, May 11 within the beautiful setting of the Hinsdale Golf Club in Clarendon Hills. Members and friends gathered for a delicious lunch and then enjoyed the following program – our last of the 2015-2016 season:
Kathi Best and Nola Gustafson, four hands piano performing Johannes Brahms “Waltzes, Op. 39”.
Kate Carter - violin, with Louise Chan - piano performing Ernest Bloch’s “Baal Shem - Three Pictures of Hassidic Life: 1) Vidui) Contrition); 2) Nigun (Improvisation) and 3) Simhat Torah (Rejoicing)”.

Jennifer Petkus - clarinet with guest, Matthew Hogan - piano performing R.M. Endresen’s “Pepperino”; Carl Baerman’s “Romance”; and Louis Cahuzac’s “Variations sur un air pays d’Oc”.
To conclude the program president Sophie Foley honored Jan McDermed, our Treasurer for many years, for her exemplary service.
